How do I know where I’m who?
Monday, November 9th, 2009This phrase is often heard around the Cool Works “office.” I’ve been doing a lot of travel and have been remiss in sharing my musings on photography. Now don’t you fret. I’m still musing, but I am bit behind in sharing them.

So quickly, because I really only took photographs on one of my main trips for work / pleasure, here are a few photographs from Yellowstone National Park. I am proud to say that I am now a card carrying member of the Yellowstone Association, a great organization that works in partnership with the National Park Service, which provides education to the visitors of Yellowstone. On this visit I was fortunate to be one of about 25 to experience a fantastic tour of the park by our guides, Shauna, and fellow photographer, MacNeil. What a knowledgeable pair and I was envious of MacNeil’s 400mm lens. He took an amazing series of photographs of the “Gardiner bear.”

The reason for being in Gardiner, Montana, at such a transitional time of the year was SHRA, which stands for the Seasonal Human Resources Association. This was my sixth conference and was something I attended as a representative of Princess Tours before moving to CoolWorks.com. It’s always been one of my favorites. The people are fantastic. The scenery is usually stupendous. And, I also get to learn something new each time. This year was no different on all counts.

The chilled to the bone group at Norris Geyser Basin. The view and the cool walk around making first tracks in the snow was well worth it.
